Support at Home
The Support at Home Service offers a comprehansive range of support to enable people to live as independently as possible in their own homes.
An experienced, member of staff will visit you to carry out an assessment and discuss your wishes and needs. This can be done directly with us or towards the end of a re-enablement package from NYCC. Support can be provided on a short or long term basis according to need.
A tailored care package will be agreed with you and a personal assistant introduced to provide this help. Arrangements will be set up as soon as possible, but can take at least five working days. You will be contacted on a regular basis to ensure that you are happy with the service.

Light domestic duties
Small household tasks
Shopping and preparation of meals
Collection of prescriptions
Escorted transport for hospital or other appointments
Washing windows
Bed making
Laundry and ironing
Home checks
Key holding
Dog walking
Help with correspondence
Accompanying on outings/short breaks/holidays
Carer respite/sleepovers
Gardening
